Dominique Ricketts & Craig Carter
The ceremony began with nerves, but they quickly faded into a calm, peaceful feeling of love.
Caribbean colour: When choosing a colour pallette, the couple was interested in blush and white, but the bride loved the corals and blues from their Caribbean vacations. They chose to combine all the colours and were left with gorgeous décor.
Big entrance: Dominique says, “Our entrance to the Great Hall was so electrifying! The dance floor was lit up, we had ‘Finesse’ by Bruno Mars playing, and everyone was on their feet hootin’ and hollerin’.”
The first dance: Dominique loves dance, and Craig isn’t afraid of a challenge, so it was no surprise that a choreographed first dance took place. “We asked a previous dance teacher of mine to teach us choreography to the song mix of ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ by James Arthur and ‘Cheerleader’ by OMI,” says the bride. “Despite the expected nerves, we pulled it off seamlessly! Everyone cheered when we finished and it was so fun to dance!”
Meant to be: Often, couples who are extremely close will finish each other’s sentences. Dominique did just that, jumping in to complete some of Craig’s vows, getting a laugh from the pastor and guests.
